Cookie Settings

1. Overview

luxrem.de uses cookies and comparable technologies. These include small text files, local browser storage, technical identifiers and access to information on the user's terminal device.

Non-essential cookies and comparable technologies are only used after the user has given consent. This applies in particular to statistics and marketing services. Without consent, only technically necessary technologies are used.

2. Legal Bases

For Germany/EU: storing information on the terminal device or accessing information already stored is generally only permitted with consent under § 25(1) TDDDG. Consent is not required under § 25(2) TDDDG where the process is strictly necessary to provide a digital service explicitly requested by the user.

The subsequent processing of personal data is additionally governed by the DSGVO. For necessary processes we generally rely on Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO or Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO. For preferences, statistics and marketing we generally rely on Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO, insofar as personal data is processed.

For Switzerland, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG/revDSG) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DSV) additionally apply. General Swiss principles of fair-trading and telecommunications law also apply to the use of cookies and comparable technologies.

3. Consent Mechanism

On first visit, luxrem.de displays a cookie banner with four categories: Necessary, Preferences, Statistics, Marketing.

Statistics and marketing technologies are not loaded prior to consent. Users may select individual categories, accept all or decline non-essential categories.

Consent granted may be withdrawn or changed at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal is as straightforward as granting consent, in particular via the "Cookie Settings" link/button on the website.

The cookie settings can be accessed at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this website.

4. Categories

Necessary

Necessary cookies and technologies are required for the website to function, to be operated securely, to provide booking processes technically and to save cookie decisions.

Examples: session/security cookies, consent storage, load balancing/CDN/security functions, cart/checkout/booking status.

Legal bases: § 25(2) TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO or Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO.

Preferences

Preference cookies store user-selected settings, e.g. language, region, currency or display options, insofar as these are not strictly necessary.

Legal bases: consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO, unless technically required in individual cases.

Statistics

Statistics cookies help to understand website usage and improve the website. Under the current concept, no analytics/statistics service is loaded prior to consent.

Currently, only Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) is used, and only after the user has consented to the statistics category (Google Consent Mode v2). This sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*. No tracking takes place before consent is given.
Legal bases: consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO.

Marketing

Marketing cookies or marketing pixels serve personalised advertising, campaign measurement, remarketing or similar purposes. Under the current concept, no marketing service is loaded prior to consent.

Currently, no marketing cookies or pixels are used.
Legal bases: consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO (if used in future).
